Frequently asked questions

Is there a commission-only option for retaining a sales or subject matter expert?

Repserve does not operate on a commission-only model. We hire seasoned professionals in relevant sectors who earn a base salary based on their time allocation in addition to earning commissions on approved sales.

Independent sales agents, rep groups, or hires through employers of record take on your brand along with countless others. Without an agreement stipulating they will devote a measured amount of time to each client, they tend to push only the brands in their portfolios that can be sold the quickest or with the highest commission and spend little to no time representing their other clients.

Repserve's base salary, backed by internal management oversight of activities, ensures accountability to the time retained, assuring you are appropriately represented in the market(s) you enter.

Is there a minimum agreement?

To ensure long-term success and reduce risk, every Repserve engagement begins with a six-month probationary period that includes structured, quarterly performance reviews. This allows you to continuously evaluate your BDM's alignment with your sales strategy, KPIs, and company culture.

These check-ins give both parties a clear opportunity to course-correct, reinforce what's working, and confirm that your BDM is driving measurable results in your target market.

Our goal is to make sure you're not just supported but represented effectively and positioned for scalable growth from the start.

Will I know who my shared-time Rep's other clients are?

Before any agreement is finalized, we provide full disclosure of your BDM's existing client portfolio. This ensures complete visibility and confidence in how your Rep's time is shared.

Should you choose a fractional allocation, meaning your BDM will be working on fractional time with multiple clients, he or she will only ever be assigned to non-competing, complementary businesses. This safeguards your intellectual property, sales strategies, and market position, while still offering the cost savings and flexibility of a shared-time model.

What is the cost or retaining a fractional or full-time BDM through Repserve?

At Repserve, we offer transparent, market-based pricing designed to give you clarity, control, and confidence as you expand.

Our rates are determined by the fractional allocation selected and the salary expectations of candidates who meet or exceed your requirements.

Additionally, we factor in the specific market conditions and competitive landscape to ensure you're set up for success without overpaying.

Our model allows you to enter multiple international markets simultaneously, maximizing your ROI while keeping costs predictable.

Are BDMs assigned or selected based on interviews?

Our BDM recruitment process is built for quality, speed, and precision, and we will only present candidates to you who have successfully passed Repserve's internal screening. This includes experience verification, sector relevance, communication skills, and cultural fit assessments.

Once our team shortlists top-tier candidates, you'll receive detailed portfolios, including resumes/CVs, local market experience, and salary details. From there, you select which candidates to interview.

After you've interviewed and selected your Rep, we finalize the agreement. This includes confirming the agreed-upon base salary, performance-based incentive structure, market-specific KPIs, and any paid leave or benefits expectations.

The Repserve model ensures you get a high-performing BDM, backed by clear deliverables and transparent terms, setting the foundation for measurable international sales growth.

How do I track my Rep's time and activities?

At Repserve, transparency and accountability are central to every client relationship. If requested, we provide monthly time-tracking statements that include clock-in and clock-out data from our internal HRIS system, permitting you to verify time allocation and engagement levels at a glance.

Because your BDM operates directly within your tech stack (e.g., CRM, project management tools, and communication platforms), you'll have real-time visibility on activities, pipeline progress, and lead development. This ensures your outsourced sales efforts are fully integrated with your internal systems and reporting standards.

What if I need more time from my BDM?

We understand that business momentum doesn't wait, and neither should your sales support. That's why Repserve offers flexible, scalable solutions that grow with your company's needs.

Whether you require fractonal support to test a new market, need another type of service, or wish to retain full-time representation, we ensure you always have the right resources at the right time. Our service model allows for seamless adjustments in hours, scope, and geographic coverage.

Your go-to-market strategy remains agile, cost-effective, and responsive to real-time business demands. With Repserve, you're equipped to accelerate growth without the overhead of hiring full-time in-house staff.

What if I discover my BDM is unsuitable or underperforming?

If at any point during the engagement you're not satisfied with your BDM's performance or fit, we will replace the Rep at no cost to you. Repserve will provide a new, qualified expert at no additional charge, ensuring you maintain momentum and continuity in your sales strategy.

This commitment is part of our performance-first model, giving you the confidence to scale with minimal risk and maximum ROI.

Is there a standard agreement, or are they customized for each client?

Each client engagement begins with a thorough evaluation of business objectives, operational requirements, and strategic priorities. This assessment informs the development of a customized engagement agreement detailing the scope of services, performance expectations, timelines, and communication protocols.

All agreements are carefully crafted to align with our clients' specific needs, ensuring the solutions provided are practical, relevant, and results-driven. This approach fosters transparency, builds trust, and establishes the foundation for long-term collaboration and measurable impact.

Does Repserve mandate a commission structure?

While Repserve BDMs receive a fixed base salary, it is common practice for companies to offer performance incentives based on desired KPIs. This ensures both motivation and alignment with your business goals.

Repserve management can assist with developing a performance incentive structure grounded in the market(s) you enter; however this is typically negotiated directly between you and the Rep.
